How a Converted Skeptic Built
SNP Restore Dallas

I wasn’t born a “car guy.” I used to think detailing and ceramic coating were a waste of money — shiny paint for people with too much time. Then one Audi, one war, and a $15,000 pricing difference taught me exactly how wrong I was.

A few years ago in Ukraine, I bought my wife a new Audi. She wanted it protected, so I took it to a detailer who spent four days polishing and ceramic coating it — even though it was brand new from the factory.

When he brought it back, it looked better than when I picked it up from the dealership. And my honest reaction was: “So what? Why did I just pay for all of this?” At the time, detailing felt like a fancy extra. I didn’t understand the difference between “clean” paint and protected paint.

One year later, the war in Ukraine forced us to sell the car and leave everything behind. At the dealership, the appraiser immediately noticed the Audi had been professionally detailed and coated. He showed me similar cars with the same mileage — same year, same trim — but without protection.

Their paint looked tired: swirls, dullness, light scratches that made 1–3 year old cars feel five years old. My wife’s Audi, on the other hand, looked almost new. The difference wasn’t subtle — it was obvious even from a distance.

That protection added roughly $15,000 to what we were offered. In that moment, I stopped seeing detailing as “vanity” and started seeing it as asset protection.

💡 I still wouldn’t call myself a car enthusiast. I’m a converted skeptic who learned, the hard way, how big the gap is between a protected vehicle and an unprotected one.

Then life reset itself. When the war escalated, I had to close my companies, leave my country, and move to Dallas with my wife and teenage daughter. We arrived with our suitcases and our experience — nothing else.

In Dallas, I did what anyone who had learned that $15,000 lesson would do: I bought a car and went looking for a proper detail and ceramic coating. I called local “detailers,” read reviews, and visited shops.

What I found was disappointing. Cheap “coatings” that failed in a few months. Packages built to confuse, not protect. People eager to sell me the “most expensive” option but unable to explain what actually protected the car long-term. Plenty of enthusiasm, not a lot of standards.

That’s when my background kicked in. I’ve spent my adult life building businesses, managing operations, and working with high-standard European families who treat quality and precision as non-negotiable. I realized Dallas was missing a service for people like me:

  • People who see their car as a serious investment, not a toy.
  • People who want clarity, not upsells and guessing.
  • People whose time is worth more than sitting in a lobby all Saturday.

So I built SNP Restore Dallas around one simple idea: I don’t care if you’re a car fanatic. I care that your vehicle quietly represents your standards. My job is to protect that — paint, interior, and resale value — with the same seriousness I brought to protecting my wife’s Audi.

Being a converted skeptic also means I refuse to play games with packages. I’ll tell you exactly what your car needs, what’s optional, and what’s a waste of money. No BS, no “trust me bro,” no half-clean jobs.

My promise is simple: I treat every vehicle like it’s going to be appraised tomorrow — and you want the number on that paper to surprise you in a good way.

Today, I bring European standards, Ukrainian work ethic, and a very American understanding of “return on investment” to every driveway, garage, and office building I visit in Dallas. If we work together, you’ll probably still say you’re “not a car person.” But you will absolutely feel the difference between owning a car that’s just clean and a car that’s truly protected.
